The Play for Change Awards are organised by Toy Industries of Europe
Toy Industries of Europe, based at 36 Boulevard de Waterloo, 1000 Brussels, Belgium (hereafter “TIE” or “we”), has prepared this data protection notice (the “notice”) to describe its practices regarding the collection, use, storage, transfer and other processing of individually identifiable information (“personal data“) of its parties registering with or applying for the Play for Change Awards (“you”). TIE is the controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this notice.

We will indicate above the date on which this Privacy Policy was last modified. Your continued use of this site constitutes your agreement to the Privacy Policy and any updates.
What information do we collect from you and for which purposes?
The categories of personal data TIE collects from you are your name, surname, work email, work address, job title and telephone details.
TIE will only use this personal data:
- for purposes related to the organisation of the Play for Change Awards and your participation in the Awards. For instance to contact you when we need more information regarding your application.
- for communications purposes around the Play for Change Awards. We will send you information to remind you of closing dates of the application, the runners-up, the winners etc…
How do we store your personal data and who has access to your data?
TIE maintains a database with an electronic record of everyone who has registered interest or applied for the Play for Change Awards.
The persons and entities that can have access to your personal data are:
- the TIE staff
- external professional services, such as TIE’s IT/website supplier and TIE’s external consultants who are involved in the organisation of the Awards
When TIE engages a third-party processor to process personal data on its behalf, such as those listed above, TIE will choose a processor that provides sufficient guarantees with respect to technical and organisational security measures governing the relevant processing.
From time to time, TIE may also need to disclose personal data to other parties, such as any organisation with whom TIE co-organises an event.

TIE’s employees or any of TIE’s contractual partners who have access to your data in order to provide services to TIE (e.g. its IT/website supplier, its database software supplier) are contractually obliged to keep such information in confidence and may not use these data for any purpose other than performing their contractual missions for TIE.
Do we transfer your data to third countries?
We use a third-party email service provider that is based in the UK.
The Play for Change Awards website is hosted in the UK.
For how long do we keep your data?
TIE will retain the personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice. We will delete these data when the Awards finish or when the data subject asks us to remove him/her from our contact list.
What are your rights and how can you exercise them?
You have the right to: i) have access to your personal data; ii) have inaccurate data corrected or removed, iii) object to the processing of your personal data; (iv) restrict TIE’s use of your personal data; (v) receive your personal data in a usable electronic format and transmit it to a third party (right to “data portability”); and (vi) lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
